Tencent has opened its Hunyuan 3D Studio to public beta, removing the invite-only barrier that gated access since the platform launched in September 2025. The update brings upgraded component partitioning and expanded multi-view input support.
The company claims resolution for part segmentation has increased from 1024³ to 1536³ voxels, matching the maximum geometry resolution introduced with Hunyuan 3D 3.0 last fall. A new brush-based manual control lets users edit component boundaries directly rather than relying entirely on automated segmentation. Tencent's earlier Hunyuan3D-Part module used P3-SAM for automatic part detection, with the full version available only through Studio.
The image-to-3D pipeline now accepts up to 8 reference views, doubled from the previous 4-view limit. Tencent says this improves reconstruction accuracy for complex geometry, though independent benchmarks haven't confirmed the gains.
Studio availability tracks Tencent's broader push to commercialize its 3D generation stack. The Hunyuan 3D models have accumulated over 3 million downloads on Hugging Face, and Tencent Cloud now offers API access for enterprise integration.
The Bottom Line: Tencent's 3D generation platform is now open to anyone at 3d.hunyuan.tencent.com/studio, with manual editing tools joining the automated pipeline.
