Anthropic rolled out a suite of pre-built financial services agents on Tuesday at an invite-only event in New York, paired with Claude Opus 4.7 as the underlying model. The launch announcement covers roughly 10 agent templates aimed at the workflows that eat the most analyst hours: pitchbooks, credit memos, KYC, underwriting, month-end close, and insurance claims.

The marquee data deal is with Moody's, which is shipping a native Claude app covering more than 600 million companies for credit rating and risk analysis. There's also an FIS-built financial crimes agent going into production at BMO and Amalgamated Bank, which Anthropic positions as compressing AML investigation times from hours to minutes. That claim is from Anthropic, not the banks.

Each agent ships as a reference architecture with skills, connectors, and subagents. Firms can run them as plugins in Claude Cowork or Claude Code, or as autonomous Managed Agents on the platform. New connectors include Verisk, Third Bridge, Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, and Guidepoint, joining an existing roster with LSEG, S&P Capital IQ, and Morningstar.

Anthropic says Opus 4.7 leads the Vals AI Finance Agent benchmark at 64.37%. That score is self-reported in the same announcement. The company also pointed to existing production deployments at JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citi, AIG, and Visa.

The product news landed a day after Anthropic's reported $1.5 billion enterprise services joint venture with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs. CEO Dario Amodei and JPMorgan Chase chairman Jamie Dimon also shared a stage for the first time at the event. The agents are available now; Claude for Outlook is "coming soon."
